Stop whining

Christmas: check.
Next: New Year's Eve.

It's a party season, alright! Are you enjoying it?
I know it's not easy to have your family reunited for the holidays. It can be really annoying! And, yes, I do know it's not easy to have a small Christmas with only a couple of people, specially if you used to have your house full of relatives by this time of the year. Been there, done that.

But, you know what? We have to be grateful for the few people we have around us. For the pleasure of our own company, even. And we should enjoy every minute of this season. (And by "we", I mean "we, the ones who like/celebrate/live Christmas". Not everyone likes it and for many people Xmas doesn't mean anything. And that's cool. I don't care. And I bet that my idea of Xmas is completely different from yours. And, again, I don't care. The important thing is for us to be happy with our own choices.)

So, you miss those days when you used to have 15 people at the table on Christmas Eve. You got divorced and now there's only three or so. You know what I say to you? Be grateful!

And you? You are so bored with your aunt's stories and your grandfather's snoring is driving you crazy. That guy I mentioned above would kill to have what you have. Be grateful!

Stop whining and go eat some cake. Ok?

The same applies to New Year's Eve. Whether you're spending it at some crazy party or at home in your pajama, watching your favorite series, be grateful! You made it through another year! And your life is not defined by the way you spend one night, ok? Do what you like to do, without worrying to much about what everyone thinks or how they'll be spending their night. And do yourself a favor: stop stalking everyone's life on Facebook. That's not good for you.

Anyway, I hope you're having an amazing time! And if you can relate with some examples I gave here, don't worry, you're still perfectly in time of enjoying this season ok?

I'm gonna go to sleep now. And yeah, I'm really grateful for that warm bed of mine.

See you later, alligator!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
